Entry Requirements
Please note that this聽information is intended as a guideline and allows you to broadly compare your qualifications to the British qualifications specified on the course pages of this website.聽Some courses may require a higher standard of English than stated in this page. Applications are considered on an individual basis and other qualifications or聽work experience may be taken into consideration.
Undergraduate Requirements
Year 1 Entry
- International High School qualifications (e.g. A Levels or International Baccalaureate) are expected to have comparable results to students from UK institutions
- Students with the Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) in principal subject match to our UK A Level requirements for entry to year 1
Year 2 Entry
- Students with the Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) in principal subject match to our UK A Level requirements for entry to year 2, where course permits
- International High School qualifications (e.g. A Levels or International Baccalaureate) are expected to have comparable results to students from UK institutions

- Applicants聽who do not hold an International High School qualification will be expected to undertake a pathway programme at our聽
English Language聽
Most undergraduate courses require an IELTS score of 6.0, with a minimum of 5.5 in each area. Some courses require a higher English language score. Always check the relevant course page聽and our English Language Requirements page聽before applying.
Postgraduate Requirements
- A 3 years bachelor degree at 2:2 or Grade B or GPA 3.0 (when awarded from a public university or NCHE listed institution)
- A small number of University postgraduate programmes do require a minimum of second class upper classification, or an equivalent (please refer to the relevant course page)

- Students who do not meet our direct entry requirements may be able to undertake a pre-masters programme through our聽聽at Robert Gordon University
